(līk′mīn′did)

(līkmīn′did)

adjective

having the same ideas, tastes, etc.; agreeing mentally

After spending several months laying the groundwork for our 18 month 50,000km Expedition through 40+ Countries called Ride4Water we begin the next step of finding LIKEMINDED individuals, corporations, and small businesses.

There is indeed a joy that is found when you hit it off with people. When you have a connection. I call this being like minded. My understanding of being like minded is being able to share at least one thing with someone else that you are both passionate about and developing a working relationship with them built around this shared passion. Simply put-Life is to short to work with or hangout with people whom you are not like minded with.

I anticipate that the next few months will be an enthusiastic time as people begin to find out about our journey and that we will gain many friends whom we can share the joy of this with.

So here is to finding those like minded people that make life fun

THE ADVENTURE GROWS

Well in the spirit of adventure one of my best friends has decided to join me on my journey. His name is Davin Anderson (www.facebook.com/turboD) so you can friend him there. He is 29 years old, a great cyclist, college graduate, and currently is the GM at an Upscale Italian Restuarant. Davin is quitting his job and we will be riding together to San Diego, then continue through South America, etc.

I am excited about this development because Davin is an unbelievable person on every level and I am extremely blessed to have such a high quality person who wants to go on this journey with me.

COOLAHOLICS

So I get asked alot what Southern California is like. I guess I would know. I was born in Costa Mesa which is adjacent to Newport Beach which makes me by proxy soooooooooo cool. I have NOT lived in CA for 3 years and have been living in Ohio and one observation I have at this point is that people tend to be obsessed with all things cool in CA. Like dude your car is sooooo cool. And dude the friends you have are soooooo cool. And like that house you live in is sooooo cool. And that Ivy league school you went to for college is sooooo cool. And bro your clothes are so coooooool...AD INFINITEM

WINGMAN

When I first started cycling I thought that rolling around in public wearing a balarina outfit would be a complete gong show when it came to talking to people. I envisioned little children running and hiding and the general public staring in disgust, but actually the opposite has happened. It is an proven an excellent way to meet people. Some think it hot that I show off my legs that are smoother and more tanned than theirs. Others view it as the supreme sign of confidence that I would go out in public dressed lika power ranger and not bat an eye about it. I get asked the usual questions. How far you riding? Where you going? Etc. I say "across your country-you know to the other side." So I plan on putting my waanabe wingman(yes this is me flying my buds plane thus the wingman analogy for you slow people) skills to use for my roommate. The dude is a good rider,Manages a Restaurant where he is frequently the bartender. He probably rescues kittens from trees to and doesn't tell anyone. So to any of my bloggies who wanna meet the Davinator the Wingman is takin apps.
