Right before I left I met this dude named Manuel who was all pumped about our trip. Then I walked out the door and met a Korean and 2 Chinese dudes. Man I didn't now if I should lock my bike up or try to sell it for more than it's worth! Kidding. I did think it was funny that a Mexican an American a Korean And 2 Chinese dudes were talking about Clean Water.
Manuel told me we could stay with his sister in Puerto Escondido-YES! big waves! The Chinese guy told me we could stay with him and his relatives in China. I'm just baffled at how the hospitality gets rolled out to us. TRULY humbled. People are just amazing. I mean in 24 hours we have places to stay in France, China, and mainland Mexico.
Today is our first milestone. We are halfway down the Baja Peninsula. Dane is adapting quickly to the gear, camping, eating, and the riding. He has told me his legs hurt like heck but that's to be expected. Most people do 25-30 miles a day when doin this. We are riding 50 now with plans to ride farther once Dane gets a base of riding in his legs. So far so good. No injuries or mishaps just good times and soreness. So it's all good. Today's ride was uneventful really just alot of desert until we got to Guerrero Negro and found this Sahweet Cafe with bomb wifi. What else does a world traveler want-NADA.
I just got the greatest news ever! Quinn got her progress report from school and got 96% or better in every category!!! I AM STOKED! The kid is wicked smart and her school VCA seems to be a great fit.
