Saturday The middle of nowhere to El Rosarito

We woke up at 5am today so we could get riding by 6am. We were off. It is alot warmer at night already just being a few hundred miles of San Diego. We rode and arrived at Chapala which on the map is a city, but in person it's this

I just called my mom from this place. It costs $3.50 but we didn't want mine nor Danes parents to worry.

Danes dad had been forbid place before and told him to check it out so Dane made a video of the exact restaurant.

We ended up getting a nice flat stretch with a tailwind for about 2.5 hours so today was the day to get greedy on the bike. We ended up riding 82 miles altogether. The last 25 had about 2000ft of climbing with a bad headwind on certain parts.

With about 9 miles to go I saw frenchy and his chick. He had been super stoked on my bicycle and my hammock but I was tired. So I told them I would see them in El Rosarito. I motored there. They strolled in about 15 minutes after me. Frenchy is a competitive guy. He jabbed Dane when he came in and called him a slow poke. Then he insisted on telling me this story of this Japanese guy who tried to ride his bike around the world but his bike got stolen and he told me that the same thing would probably happen to me. He didn't say it to be funny he was just being- well French I guess. I wanted to tell him that some gay Mexican guy with one if those wrestling masks on was gonna steal his chick and throw French fries at him and yell HAHA and WEWE but I relented. Nah im kidding. Maybe he was trying to be nice and I don't get French people. I really don't know.

Frenchy was trying to stay with me on this climb but I wanted to say- hey Frenchy I can eat a baguette and sip coffee on this hill while you work hard bro.

Okay enough French jokes. Kidding aside he and his chick or should i say chic were very cool and they offered us a place to stay in France when we get there in August 2011. His hometown in right by Alpe Du Huez the legendary stage of the Tour De France where most of the race is decided. I hope we can meet him there.
